Refund Policy

Effective Date: May 27, 2025

At McKeown Captures, we strive to provide high-quality, personalized photography services. Because our work is custom and time-based, this Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be granted.

1. Booking Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit is be required to secure your booking.

  • This deposit covers time spent preparing for your session and blocking off availability.

  • If you cancel your session less than 72 hours before the scheduled time, the deposit is forfeited.

2. Full Payments

  • If you have paid in full and cancel more than 72 hours in advance, a partial refund (minus the non-refundable deposit) will be issued.

  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the session are not eligible for a refund unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

3. Rescheduling Policy

  • If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 72 hours' notice. We will make every effort to accommodate a new date.

  • Rescheduled sessions retain your original deposit/payment and are not considered cancellations.

  • In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, McKeown Captures may offer a reschedule or refund at our discretion.

4. No Shows / Late Arrivals

  • Clients who fail to show up for a scheduled session without prior notice are not eligible for a refund.

  • Sessions may be shortened or canceled for clients who arrive more than 30 minutes late without communication.

5. Digital Products & Image Delivery

  • Due to the custom nature of photography, no refunds are issued once final edited images have been delivered.

  • If you are unsatisfied with your photos, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll do our best to address your concerns.

6. Photographer-Initiated Cancellations

  • If McKeown Captures must cancel a session due to illness, emergency, or unavoidable conflict, you will be offered:

    • A full refund, or

    • The option to reschedule at no additional cost
